Here are even more pictures from the destination wedding from Orlando, Florida. The bride and groom had a wonderful wedding outside by a lake which provided great scenery for the pictures. Most of my weddings I have photographed have taken place in St. Louis, MO so this was great to go someplace different and photograph a wedding.

Orlando, Florida wedding

This was my first destination wedding and it went great. The wedding was in Orlando, Florida so we did not have the beach for a background, just a lake. The lake still looked great because it had a sandy shore and all of the enormous trees were covered in Spanish moss, which provided for some very dramatic trees. The wedding was small since it was a destination wedding-- only about a total of 75 people. Which surprisingly made for a great party at the reception. Too often, a small wedding lends to a quiet and quick reception, but since everyone was on vacation they all stayed until the very end. There were only three bridesmaids and three groomsmen, most of which were family. It was great shooting such a small, intimate wedding.

I have some great new wedding photos in the wedding gallery. Some have a very urban/fashion feel to them because we shot them downtown. Even at the St. Louis flood wall for a few. Downtown St. Louis wedding photography is so much fun.

Dance Photo Shoot

I have been busy taking dance pictures this past week. Josh and Arica did a lift, dance shoot with me. We got many fabulous images, some were on white and some were in the hallway of my studio to create a more dramatic feel. I had many lights and added smoke to make it even more dramatic along with their great posing ability. I am very happy with the way the pictures turned out.

London Calling

So London Calling on Valentines Day was great. I took lots of pictures in the Valentine photo-booth and many candids. It's always so much fun and the people really like getting their picture taken at the photo-booth. Some people wait for me to come back from taking candids so they can have a photo-booth picture taken. The big pile up of people are always my favorite. Or anyone with a lot of personality in front of the camera. Like these few right here are my favorites from the night.
There was a band that played for the first time at London Calling and it was the type of music that is played, so it went over well. The blue picture is a picture of the main singer. The other two pics are photo-booth pictures.

Hooters

A few weeks ago I was one of the photographers for a Hooters Calendar Competition. I photographed 15 girls in three days and got lots of great images. I uploaded a few of the best to my website under the fashion category. An Alien Bee ring flash was the main light here and I think it turned out great. Also, the circle hanging background goes perfect with her circle bikini.

SNOW

Well the snow is pretty but I had to cancel 2 shoots today because the roads are not plowed. I think I am still going out to forest park to go sledding and taking pictures, I just need to drag Loren and Patrick along. Poor Josh actually has to work today. It's hilarious watching people sled down art hill hitting the people walking up the hill. The people walking up have to jump and dive out of the way of the people going down. I know this all to well since I always go sledding on art hill, along with all the kids. Sometimes I bring my little dog and go down the hill with him and he loves it. Except for last year this kid and I crashed together and my dog with flying, he did not get hurt but it was funny.

1-24-09

Well this is the first entry of my new blog. I want to show off my pictures and let people get to know me a little. I have just updated my website with a whole new look last week. I have all new pictures and a new website. I would also like to let people know what is happening around St. Louis whenever I find out fun stuff to do. I love going to art museums and gallery openings. I know the Contemporary Museum just started their new show on 1-23-09 which includes a solo show on sculpture. The RAC in the loop has a Holga photography show with more than 40 artists. Holga is my favorite camera to shoot with so I think it could be a pretty interesting set of work.
Tonight is London Calling at the Stable on the second floor. I will be taking candid pictures and I am also setting up a background that people will be able to graffiti. If you have never been to London Calling it is the best dance party in St Louis. You can check out the music and pictures on the website at www.Londoncalling.us. It costs $4 before 10 and $6 after 10.
See you there.
